According to the police report: Neighbors at the Coquina Bay Apartments who heard the woman screaming just after 5 p.m. Aug. 8 called the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police said officers forced their way into the apartment and found both the man and woman suffering from stab wounds. Nabil Abdel-Majid, 49, who police have now charged with second-degree murder, was taken to a local hospital with cuts to his sides and neck.
According to the authorities, The man’s sister told police he was suicidal and talked about “taking someone with him.” The sister said he had been involuntarily committed for suicidal behavior and had been violent toward the woman before. Nelita Abdel-Majid was known to be an amazing person she will be greatly missed.
