Olivia Paige Sweeney Death – The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, July 19, released the identity of a woman who drowned in Lake Somerville while trying to save a child as 30-year-old Olivia Paige Sweeney, of Bryan.
The authorities says Sweeney jumped from a boat that was several hundred yards from shore into Lake Somerville to assist a child who was drifting away.

Around 7:00 p.m Saturday, the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office received a report on a missing woman.
According to witness, the child, who was wearing a floating device, was safely brought to shore but Sweeney was trapped in a current and drowned after struggling to stay above water.
At around 12:15 p.m on Sunday her body was recovered.
