Marion Death – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed the death of one person who died after a fatal crash on Monday night, August 17 in Marion.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, they responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 100 at South 31st Street around 6:45 p.m.

Initial investigation revealed that a sedan was traveling south on 31st Street and failed to respond to eastbound traffic on Highway 100 and was hit by a truck.
The unidentified driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was uninjured, says the police.
According to the police, both victims were wearing their seatbelts at the point of the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
