Peter Johannsen and Diane McGregor Death | Obituary – Peter Johannsen sadly passed away on Sunday 9th August 2020 after a battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Jill and son Tony. Peter was a legend in the making, he contributed passionately to his team and community he will highly missed by the Hampton Rovers Football Club. Peter won the Best Club Person award for the Juniors in both 1991 and 1994 and Peter and Jill won the Juniors Best Club person award in 1993.
Diane McGregor sadly passed away on the 8th of August, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her two sons Blair and Brook, and five Grandchildren. Diane was the wife of Life Member Don McGregor, now deceased, who was a former Senior President of the club and U19 coach.
Being a member of the McGregor clan, with brother-in-law Gordon and sister-in-law Jan, both now deceased, always meant Di was going to be tied to the Hampton Rovers. Diane and Don after Marriage in the mid-1960’s lived in Imbross Street Hampton, next to the Rovers original ground, Castlefield Reserve.
Diane and Don moved to Barwon Heads some 15 years ago and she loved tendering to her little cottage at the Heads, especially the garden. Age will be greatly missed.
