Too sad to hear British alto sax great Peter King has died. I watched him as a boy. He played on my first solo album in 1983, and then often with EBTG. Effortless, fluent, melodic, untouchable. Kind man. Musical giant.

Very sad to hear Ben. I tried to find Peter’s recordings after first buying Summer Into Winter back then. His playing had a mellifluous and real subtlety about it, I found little (pre Internet) but never tire of hearing his playing on your early recordings.

Incredible talent and his work on your/ETBG albums is amazing. My first exposure to him was that soaring solo on Some Things Don’t Matter. That transition from your “give him love” into the extended first note of the solo is perfection. RIP.
