Reactions And Sharing On Social Media Concerning Denise Johnson Passing
I am saddened to hear of Denise Johnson’s passing. I invited her to sing on my album because I heard her voice when I wrote the songs. I didn’t ask for a backing singer; I asked for Denise Johnson. She was beautiful and alive and I am grateful my music was touched by her beauty.

When I was first becoming properly aware of music (aged 9/10, via my brother’s record collection through the bedroom wall), Denise Johnson just had one of those voices that ‘was’ music for me. Sorry she’s gone so young. Beautiful photos of great singers at work. RIP

My everlasting memory of Denise Johnson is when we first met in South nightclub in Manchester with her best friend @sue_langford. I was 20 years old. She was a Manchester music legend, but was so down to earth, friendly and her smile would light up the whole room. RIP Denise xx
