Prof Emeritus Jim Buchanan Death | Obituary – Prof Emeritus Jim Buchanan of U Penn sadly passed away, He was one of the first veterinary cardiac surgeons, a leader in veterinary medicine and surgery.
“A true legend. Every time you look at tracheal deviation in vascular ring anomalies, measure a vertebral heart scale or think about the pathophysiology of a PDA, you are using his contribution to our profession. I was lucky enough to attend one of his last angiography courses for Residents in 2012 and he was a kind, welcoming gentleman, whose experience was immense and almost palpable in his presence! He was keen to teach and support junior colleagues in every way he could.
.
My deepest condolences go out to anybody who knew him or worked with him. We have lost one of the greats, but his legacy will not be”
We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to Jim’s family today and in the days, weeks, months, and years that are to come as they cope with his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
