Quantravious Alexis Death – The identity of the victim who was shot and killed on Sunday, August 9 in New Iberia has been released by the Iberia Coroner’s Office as 23-year-old Quantravious Alexis of new Iberia.
Official report states that Alexis was shot in the 900 block of Mississippi Street on Sunday August 9.

According to a police spokeswoman, upon the arrival of the police to the scene, Alexis was found suffering from gun shot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The suspect has been identified as Tyron Deshean Chevalier, 21, by the investigators and a warrant has been issued for his arrest for a charge of second-degree murder.
Anyone knowing Chevalier’s where about is asked to contact the police as he is considered armed and dangerous.
