Raina Lynn Neeland Death – The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office have released the identity of the young adult who drowned in a northern Minnesota Lake on Monday, August 17 after saving several children from drowning as 18-year-old Raina Lynn Neeland of Bagley.

According to the sheriff’s office, they responded to the scene at about 3.45 p.m after the report of a person in distress near Clearwater Dam on Clearwater Lake.

The authorities were informed by witnesses that several kids were swimming in the river close to the Dam when some of them were caught up in the turbulent coming from the Dam.

Upon the arrival of the officers, they noticed an 8-year-old girl who life saving measures were being performed on because she was pulled out of the water unresponsive, fortunately she was revived.

Then another 18-year-old was on the shore and unresponsive. Bystanders were performing CPR on her by the time the officers arrived. They were told Neeland has been in the water for about 10 minutes.

She was later pronounced dead by the medics.

A GoFundme has been created by Neeland’s family to assist with the cost of her funeral and needs of her family.
