Raul Acosta Death | Obituary – Raul Acosta age 51 was found dead on a couch in a vacant El Monte lot. Raul had trauma to his head, sheriff’s Lt. Hugo Reynaga said. But, he pointed out, the coroner had not yet determined the cause of death.
Acosta was last seen alive around 10 p.m. Sunday, walking over to the couch and sitting down, Officer Reynaga said.
A city public works employee discovered the body Monday morning on a vacant lot south of a liquor store on the 11900 blocks of Ramona Boulevard.
The employee saw him slumped over the couch and noticed he was unresponsive, the lieutenant said. The employee called authorities at 8:46 a.m., with paramedics pronouncing Acosta dead at the scene.
