Ricardo Rodriguez Death | Obituary: A Wednesday afternoon accident accident in Panola County has led to the death of a 19-year-old Ricardo Rodriguez of Gary.
Rodriguez’s vehicle was involved in an accident with another vehicle driven by 21-year-old Maria Gamez of Center.
The two-vehicle crash reportedly happened at 2:23 p.m., US 59 about 2.2. miles south of the city of Carthage in Panola County.

Report Rodriguez was traveling east on FM 2517 in a 2000 Chevrolet Camaro, approaching the intersection of US 59. Report said Rodriguez did not yield at the intersection and continued into US 59 into the path of a 2009 GMC Sierra traveling south driven by Gamez.
Rodriquez died at the scene of the vehicles’ collision, and Gamez was transported to UT Health – Carthage and is in stable condition.
