Robert Reader Death | Robert Reader Obituary – Robert Reader a member of the Ranger Hose Company has died. Robert E. Reader, 43, of Hobbie, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a long battle with cancer. Bob was a graduate of Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School, Class of 1995. While in high school, he began working at Kevin Ryman, Inc. He continued working until he was no longer able. Bob was very active in the fire community and had served as chief of the Hobbie Volunteer Fire Co. since 2008. He was also a member of Ranger Hose Co. in Berwick. He enjoyed antique farm machinery, and had been a member of Preservers of the Past. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as camping. His greatest joy, however, was his family and the time spent with them.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Terri, whom he married November 15, 1997. Also surviving are his children: Rachel Reader and boyfriend, Mason Vandermark, and Caden Reader, both of Hobbie, brother: Scott Reader and wife, Tina, of Berwick, step-mother: Priscilla Reader, grandmother: Marie Ruhmel of Berwick, and “in-laws”: Doug and Chris Davis of Nescopeck.
