Roberto Flores Lopez’s relatives said the patriarch died on Wednesday morning, 19th of August 2020 as a “result of severe injuries” he sustained on the 8th of July 2020 in a violent attack at a Superior market in Lancaster, California.
He is survived by his wife, three children, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Lopez’s fourth child, a son, died on Tuesday from the novel coronavirus, according to relatives. Lopez suffered multiple injuries in the attack, including five broken ribs, a broken eye socket and facial fractures, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise funds for his medical bills. He was hospitalized for two weeks before his release in late July, the page said. According to Lancaster police, the suspect, 22-year-old Damaris Wade, was arrested along with 33-year-old Tamika White, on the 11th of July 2020 and they are now being charged.
