Romere Harris Death – Tragedy struck Wednesday night as 2-year-old child was fatally shot by teen uncle. The shooting appeared to have happened accidentally.
According to report, Romere Harris was shot dead by his uncle identified as Charles Hodge Jr, 14. The deceased mom had left Hodge to babysit him while she went to get some food.

Hodge who had been reportedly living for about two months at the townhome on the 300 block of North Monroe Avenue on the East Side with the child’s mother, her children and boyfriend retrieved a revolver from a plastic set of drawers and emptied what he believed to be all the bullets from the gun.
Hodge said he then began twirling the chamber of the revolver and pulled the trigger three times. Nothing happened.
On the fourth pull of the trigger, the gun discharged and the bullet hit Romere in the head.
