Ron Bell Death | Ron Bell Obituary – On Wednesday, 19th of August 2020, Retired Melbourne police commander, Ron Bell died. Ron Bell was a law enforcement veteran known as the public voice of the Melbourne Police Department during a pivotal period of transition at the agency, and who mentored countless officers and youth. He died following a sudden illness at the age of 63.

According to FloridaToday, Ron Bell also worked with reporters, sharing stories and concerns about coverage over lunch. In his off time, Bell would DJ, digging deep in his crates of vinyl records to spin records for friends and clients at parties. He retired from the department in July 2011. Ron Bell also loved education, pursuing multiple degrees and teaching criminal justice courses at Eastern Florida State College since 2016.
