Ronald E. Vallery Death | Obituary
The Macoupin County Coroner have named a 67-year-old Ronald E. Vallery of Plainview, Ill. as the victim of Thursday night fatal collision between a train and vehicle.
The fatal accident happened around 5:06 p.m., Vallery was was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner 5:32 p.m.
According to officials, Vallery’s vehicle was traveling when it left the roadway, overturning until it got back on its wheels, then continued in the railroad right-of-way until it came to a rest on the railroad tracks, train heading north then crashed into the vehicle.
Witnesses rushed and were able to remove Valery from his vehicle. He died at the scene.
