Russ Cuddihy Death | Obituary – Russ Cuddihy peacefully passed away, on Saturday morning due to diabetes and heart failure-related issues.
We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to Cuddihy’s family today and in the days, weeks, months, and years that are to come as they cope with his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
“It is with a heavy heart to announce on behalf of all my family that our wonderful dad, husband, grandad, great grandad, our absolute rock, Russ, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning.
We were made aware that the time was coming due to diabetes and heart failure-related issues at the beginning of May and so, as a family, have embraced that time together. Dad spent time with all of his children, grandchildren, and was fortunate to meet his first great-grandson last month. It is, of course, an incredibly sad time but we all feel great solace and comfort by the fact that he is a man greatly respected and loved by so many. He is our rock of support and immeasurable love and loyalty. As many have said to me already, he was a legend.
Dad, you will be missed so so much and you are loved more than words can say. I am honored to be your daughter”
Funeral Arrangement
Russ’s funeral will take place on Monday 20th July at 12.20 pm at Accrington Crematorium followed by a celebration of his life at the Great Harwood Cricket Club. All are welcome to pay their respects. Due to the current situation, numbers able to go inside the crematorium are limited and we will inform those able to come in beforehand. Likewise, there will be procedures in place at GHCC. We of course respect everyone’s decision as to whether they attend yet appreciate and are grateful for all gestures of condolence and respect.
We will be having family flowers but anyone wishing to make a donation to East Lancashire Hospice where he was cared for so brilliantly in these last 3 weeks, can do so via Hyndburn Funeral Services.
