Woman who was one of the anti-nuclear activists in South Carolina has died at the age of 99. Her cause of death is connected to brief illness which she suffered over the weekend, according to report.
Ruth was a formally a teacher before she became an environmentalist. She spent nearly five decades advocating battling expansion of atomic plants across South Carolina.
Thomas was known for asking questions on nuclear policy that leaders found very uncomfortable.
