Samantha Lindquist Death – The authorities on Wednesday, August 5 released the identity of the woman who died after a fatal head-on collision on Tuesday, August 4 on Highway 35 just north of Norland as 50-year-old Samantha Lindquist.
Official report states that at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Lindquist was driving a car northbound when a southbound pickup truck struck her vehicle near Cameron Road, about 90 kilometres northwest of Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes. Lindquist died at the scene.

Another occupant of Lindquist car identified to be in her 70s sustained serious injuries and was taken to the trauma unit of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto for treatment via Ornge air ambulance from the Minden hospital.
The Highway 35 was closed by OPP technical collision investigators in both directions for nearly seven hours between Hilton Point Road and Cameron Road for a collision reconstruction investigation.
Investigation is still ongoing by City of Kawartha Lakes OPP.
