Seamus Mallon’s passing was posted on Twitter, January 24, 2017 and tributes have been pouring out since the news of his death broke out.
In 2017, Mallon became an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Ireland. He made several contribution to Ireland.
In a Twitter post, Colum Eastwood believed Mallon has left “an indelible mark” of peace on Irish people.
“He lived for our country and has left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who enjoys the peace he helped forge,” Eastwood tweeted.
Mallon was SDLP former Deputy Leader, and former deputy First Minister in the Northern Ireland Executive.
