Secoriea Turner Death – The American actor, writer, producer, comedian and director, Tyler Perry has offered to fund the funeral of Secoriea Turner, an 8-year-old girl who was fatally shot to death in Atlanta over the weekend. This was made known by Perry’s representative on Wednesday.
In Tyler Perry’s words to People Magazine: “I’m outraged today because I’d rather be paying for 8-year-old Secoriea Turner’s college than her funeral.” “When does this end?”
Secoriea was shot dead in Atlanta on July 4, 2020 after at least two people opened fire on the car she was riding in.
According to Atlanta police Lt. Pete Malecki, she was riding with her mother and another adult occupant in a Jeep Cherokee on Saturday night when they encountered “a makeshift roadblock that was manned by numerous armed individuals,” when the driver tried to turn around the road block, shots were fired which hit the 8-year-old girl, says Malecki.
A video of an armed man has been released by the police on Tuesday of an armed man who has been described as a person connected to Secoriea death. The video according to Malecki was from a surveillance camera close to where Secoriea was shot, it displayed a Black man in a white shirt and dark pants carrying an AR-15 rifle with a tan stock and grip.
For the arrest and indictment of the suspect in the case, an offer of up to $20,000 has been offered.
Secoriea was shot near the Wendy’s restaurant where a Black man, Rayshard Brooks, was also shot and killed by a white police officer on June 12. The fast food outlet which was later burned, has since become a site for frequent and recent demonstrations against police brutality. Perry also paid for Brooks’ funeral last month.
