Long County Deputy Sheriff Passed Away | Cause Of Death:
Sheldon Gordon Whiteman of Ludowici died January 23rd, 2020 following ghastly vehicle crash that took place within the City of Ludowici, on Georgia State Route 57 South, said report.
Sheldon Gordon Whiteman passed away 03:10 a.m in a line of duty, when he was pursuing a car for traffic violations on his Patrol vehicle at high rate of speed and his car skidded off the highway. He was brutally injured and unresponsive at the scene of crash, he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said police.
Whiteman passed on at the age of 44. He was survived by his wife, Alisa Ann Whiteman, and 3 sons, A’ron Whiteman, 16, Arion Whiteman, 13, and Shiloh Whiteman, 11, said report.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
