Shilo Marie Stewart Death – The Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Nick Street, on Tuesday afternoon, August 18 released the identity of the woman who was stabbed to death on Sunday, August 16 on Interstate 15 as 34-year-old Shilo Marie Stewart, of Fruit Heights.

A suspect identified as Oscar Cuevas-Landa, 18, was arrested on foot in Farmington few minutes after the incident.

Cuevas-Landa is held at the Davis County Jail without bail on suspicion of first-degree felony murder and second-degree aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, says the police.

Cuevas-Landa allegedly confessed to the police that he stabbed Stewart several times, after waiving his Miranda rights.

According to the arrest affidavit, Cuevas-Landa unbuckled Stewart’s seat belt, reached over her and opened the door and pushed her out.

Cuevas-Landa earlier told a Farmington officer who first accosted him that the deceased was staring at him, so he stabbed her.

The police reports that Cuevas-Landa was under the influence of intoxicants as he admitted to had taken LSD and smoked marijuana.

A GoFundMe account has been set up in Stewart’s memory.
