Sione Vaitafa Passed Away | Cause of Death:
Tongan church member and former Hayward Football player Vaitafa dead at age 22. Sione Vaitafa has died unexpectedly. He was pronounced dead following a car accident in Orinda.
Sione Vaitafa also known as Big Teddy Bear died on Saturday, December 7 in a fatal vehicle crash.
Vaitafa and two other persons were killed in the accident after attending a social function Friday night and was headed home.

CHP investigators say around 3am, the Nissan Versa carrying the men was headed westbound on Highway 24, just before the Orinda exit. For an unknown reason, the driver veered off the roadway and directly into a tree, without braking.
“When officers arrived there were three parties inside the vehicle, the three occupants. They were not responsive,” said Sg.
Viatafa “Big Teddy Bear” was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
