Sixto Brillantes Jr. Death | Sixto Brillantes Jr. Obituary – Sixto Brillantes Jr. the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman has been reported dead in a tweet made on the 11th of August 2020 by MNLtoday PH (@MNLtoday). Sixto Serrano Brillantes, Jr. was the chairman of the Philippine Commission on Elections. He was appointed by Philippine president Benigno Aquino III on January 16, 2011 to serve the unexpired term of Chairman Jose Melo.
Reports says that Sixto Brillantes Jr. passed away due to complications resulting from the dreaded COVID-19. On July 22, it was confirmed that his test result was positive and was confined at the Medical Center Manila. He sadly died on the 11th of August 2020, three days before his 81st birthday. We extend our condolences.
