Sonia Darrin died in New York City on the 19th of July 2020. was an American film actress, best known as “Agnes Lowzier” in “the big sleep”. Seven decades ago, she unforgettably played Agnes, the elegant femme fatale who tangles with Bogart’s private eye Philip Marlowe in the 1946 classic “The Big Sleep.’’

She says of the latter, ‘When I wasn’t screaming at the monster, I was hiding and reading a book or writing poetry.’’
