Stephen Meng Death | Obituary – Former Chapman HS standout, Stephen Meng sadly passed away. He may have always been the last to arrive or ‘fashionably late’ but, he would be the first one to raise a glass or drag you on the dance floor.
But behind his big heart, genuine smile and contagious laugh was a pain. The pain eventually leads him to take his own life that evening. Suicide is a permanent decision that leaves a crippling effect on a family, friends, and community. The past few days have completely turned their world upside down.
We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it is a part of life. This day our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, but as we mourn your death, we also celebrate your life. Rest in peace.
It always seems like we have all the time in the world, only to realize how fleeting it really is. I wish we had more time to do and say the things we saved for later which along with you is gone forever. I promise to keep you alive in my memories.
Even in death, you are still loved and forever will be. You have touched the hearts of so many who owe you a lifetime of gratitude. We are not saying goodbye forever but goodbye for now. I pray you to find peace and rest wherever you are.
We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to Stephen Meng’s family today and in the days, weeks, months, and years that are to come as they cope with his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
Saddened tonight to hear about the passing of former Chapman HS standout Stephen Meng. Praying for his family, friends, coaches, & everyone affected by this news.
