58-year-old Steven Weber has been identified as the victim of a Wednesday night stabbing at a across the street from the Boys & Girls Club in Tracy.

The Tracy Police Department police believed Steven Weber traveled to Tracy for business and was not from the area. Lt. Trevin Freitas, a Tracy Police officer says the department received a call around 8 p.m. about a stabbing at Powers Park on W. Lowell Avenue.

The Tracy Police Department released a statement on Facebook requesting for Public’s help with investigation.

As Tracy Police continue to investigate the homicide that occurred at Dr. Powers Park last night, we are asking for the public’s help with information. The victim has been identified as Steven Weber, 58 years old. Mr. Weber appears to have traveled for work and we are hoping to speak with people who knew Mr. Weber to learn more about him.

We are also asking for anyone who may have been near Dr. Powers Park last night at about 8:00 pm to contact us.
