18-year-old Stone Thomas Graham was admitted to an area hospital for treatment after being shot in the leg by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s deputies, Dilan Beaird and Sergeant Kevin Glandening.
Both officers reportedly responded to a gunfire report at the 1100 block of Agency, made contact with the suspect “who immediately fired the shotgun at officers,” Special Agent Joe Lestina with the Iowa Department of Public Safety said.
Beaird and Glandening returned fire, stricking Graham in the leg, according to Lestina. The shooting happened in a Burlington neighborhood, on November 7. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
