Taj Carter Death – On Tuesday night, July 21, 2020, the report of a man shot to death in a gas parking lot outside of Benton Harbor was confirmed by the police. The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Taj Carter, of Benton Township.
According to the Benton Township Police Department report, the shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. at the Phillips 66 gas station on Pipestone Road west of M-139 in Benton Township.

Shots were fired from a car as it passed through the parking lot, striking Carter, says the police
Upon the arrival of the officers at the gas station, Carter was not found on scene, having been taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan but on getting to the hospital, they were told Carter had died.
No suspect have been identified yet by the Investigators.
The car used in the shooting was described as a red four-door sedan. Police don’t know which way it went when leaving the gas station.
