Dillahunt Street Shooting – There is an ongoing investigation by the New Bern Police Department on the Thursday evening shooting that left one dead.
Officers say a report of gunshot in the area of Dillahunt Street and Carver Street was received and they responded immediately. Upon arrival, an individual was already down suffering from a gunshot. He was rushed to the hospital but died on the way.

Pending family notification, victim’s name has not been released according to the officials as the investigation is still in its early stage.
