hearing about you broke my heart. Damn. I known you since the 2nd grade, sitting next to each other in class and playing board games during after school program. We became real close in middle school, you were my “ Middle School Bestie “ from joking around in class to Message chatting everyday right after school. Asking you every night if I could copy your homework
. I remember the day freshman year when we got into a stupid argument and we haven’t spoken since then. I really do think about you from time to time. Telling myself to reach out to you and apologize so we could rebuild the friendship that we had, but I never had the courage to do it. IM SORRY Tierica. I hope you finally found your Peace. You really did have a beautiful soul. I been missing you and I will miss you Forever. Rest Peacefully T.P

Not everyone was lucky enough to have met and experienced who Tierica was. Tierica’s ambitiousness and pursuit of good was always something that we admired. To everyone, Tierica was always one of the strongest people we know. She was selfless and always considered others before herself. She always checked in with others to ensure of their wellbeing and was there when needed, but when it came to herself she was private.
Tierica has been battling with mental health for many years. It was a very long journey and because of this she not only learned but also taught others self-love, compassion, and to always be giving.
She would want to raise awareness on the stigma of mental health and urge those struggling to reach out for support.
Tierica likes to say that no matter where we are we will always be under the same moon. It is unfortunate to say that she has lost her battle, but the moon serves as a reminder that she will always be with us.
We love you Tierica.
