Tommy and Kristen Nickels Death | Tommy and Kristen Nickels Obituary – 19 years old Tommy and Kristen Nickels, 20, a young couple were murdered. According to reports, a North Georgia man faces murder charges after authorities said he repeatedly rammed a car carrying the young couple last week and killing them. Murray County deputies responded to the fatal crash on U.S. 411 in Chatsworth about 7:15 p.m. on the 29th of July 2020, according to authorities.

Initially, Investigators thought Tommy Nickels and his wife, Kristen, were killed in a hit-and-run, Chief Deputy Jimmy Davenport told AJC.com. Witnesses, however, said the suspect pursued the couple for at least a mile, repeatedly ramming their vehicle with his 2006 Suzuki Reno before driving off, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation led deputies to the home of Anthony “Tony” Brown, 34, on Tuesday afternoon, 4th of August 2020. Captain Tim Bell, Chief Deputy Jimmy Davenport and Trooper Stephen Langham arrived at the address of Anthony “Tony” Brown on Hwy 411 North. After a short foot pursuit, Anthony “Tony” Brown was apprehended and the burned remains of a 2006 silver Suzuki Reno was located behind the residence. The 2006 Suzuki Reno was taken to the Sheriffs Office for processing. The Murray County Sheriffs Office charged Anthony “Tony” Brown with Aggravated Assault w/vehicle, Felony Murder (2counts), and 2nd Degree Arson. This investigation is active and ongoing.
