Tony Larsen, a 59-year-old man was shot to death in Newport by a suspect named Steven Demauro.
The shooting happened on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Demauro was arrested after killing Larsen, according to police.
According to report, argument gave birth to the ugly tragedy that led to the death of Tony Larsen. Officers responded to the report of a man shot in the 800 block of Southeast 5th Street.
Upon arrival, they found the victim, later identified as Tony Larsen, dead with gunshot wounds. Demauro did not run away after shooting Larsen, police said he there at the scene.
It was through investigation that police learned that DeMauro shot Larsen during an argument. DeMauro was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
