Tony Parsons Missing: 2 men have been arrested over the death of a man reported missing four years ago

News reaching us reveals that the Scotland police said 2 men have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a missing cyclist. According to the report the missing cyclist remains were found in a rural estate near Bridge of Orchy, Argyll on January 12, 2021.

The discovery was made four miles from where Mr. Parsons, of Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, vanished during a charity cycle trip in September 2017.

The police said the suspects both aged 29 were arrested and charged over the death of 63-year-old Antony Parsons. the suspect is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today Thursday.

Anthony Parson also known as Tony is a former Navy petty officer, he went missing in 2017 while on a charity cycle from his home in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, to Fort William. Police said he was spotted on the A82 outside the Bridge of Orchy Hotel, Argyll and Bute at 11.30 pm on September 29.

At a funeral service for Mr. Parsons at Stirling Crematorium in April, his family urged anyone with information to come forward, saying they “still need answers” about his death.

Detective Inspector John McFall of the Major Investigations Team led the inquiry into Mr. Parsons’s death said: “I would like to offer my thanks to the local community for all their help and assistance throughout this investigation and to those who came forward with significant information.”
