Two Women Injured After Crash – Two women were extricated from a wrecked white sedan that passed through the wall of a second-story landing. This incident occurred before 11:30 am on Wednesday at 5757 SW Eighth St. says the Miami Fire Rescue.

The car fell more than 10ft and landed upside down on the street in front of the Aromas del Peru restaurant.

Miami police is investigating the crash because it’s still unclear what could have caused the crash.

The two women involved were pulled out of the car by good bystanders and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Lt. Pete Sanchez of Miami Fire Rescue said when the call came in about the crash and rescuers arrived the scene, they found the damaged sedan with the airbags deployed and the women siting on the sidewalk.

The area where the wall now has a hole has been tapped as the department’s technical rescue team assessed the building

According to Sanchez “one of the woman was taken to Ryder by Miami Fire Rescue and did not appear to have life-threatening injuries. The other woman was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the extent of her injuries was not immediately known.”

No one else was involved in the crash aside the two women in the sedan.
