Chaguanas Death – After a kidnapping and robbery in Chaguanas On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, two men were shot dead. They were ID’d as a 24-year-old Jeremiah David Dixon and 34-year-old Jamaal Romeo, both from George Street in Port of Spain.
They had in there possession two firearms which were retrieved after death.

According to the police, they were welcomed with gun fires when they arrived a house at Lion Boulevard, Enterprise, Chaguanas at around 5:30 pm, upon receiving an information from one of the victims.
The officers returned fire, resulting to the wounding of two of the six suspects. The two suspects were taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility where they were pronounced dead on arrival. The officers had no casualty on their side.
Police reports that a drug deal and kidnapping went sour which resulted to two of the four men kidnapped while the other two escaped and reported the incidence to a nearby police station.
The victims were robbed and abducted at gunpoint at Rodney Road, Endeavour. They were beaten for two hours and managed to escape to make a report to the police. The injured victims were taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility for treatment and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Centre for close examination.
Dixon and Romeo met their end in the exchange of fire with the police when the police invaded the Lion’s Gate HDC Housing Development.
According to the officer in charge, the four injured men are in stable condition and are assisting the CDP in their investigation.
Snr Supt Simon, Supt Mystar and ASP Pierre and Ag Supt John of the Central Division Operations Unit/Chaguanas Division Task Force (CDTF) supervised the raid.
