Two Men found Shot Dead

Two men were found fatally shot in a luxury car parked on a Bronx street early Thursday in what appears to be a double execution, officials said.

Cops responding to a 911 call about a large, rowdy group Sedgwick Ave. just off the Major Deegan Expressway near Depot Place in Highbridge about 1 a.m. made a grim discovery: two men found dead inside a 2017 Mercedes Benz.

Both men were shot in the head, with at least one shot in the back of the head, a source with knowledge of the case said.

The victim in the passenger seat was slumped over the center console as if he was turning away from the gunman, the source said. Numerous shell casings were found outside the vehicle.

Police sources have identified the dead driver as Richard Dominguez, a 30-year-old Bronx resident.

Dominguez recently lived with his sister, Gisel, and had two young sons, said a neighbor, Mercedes Mato, 54.

“The sister called me all nervous at 6 a.m., saying that someone killed her brother,” Mato said. “And since then, my stomach has hurt. The news, the impact and my nerves hurt my stomach.”

Dominguez’s mother needed to be hospitalized after hearing the news, Mato said.

“He was a guy that didn’t mess with anybody and he was a very good person,” Mato said. “He was so good. Good people should be remembered.”

The passenger remained unidentified Thursday afternoon.

No arrests have been made.

Detectives were scouring the area looking for surveillance images that could help them identify the shooter.
