Victor Saucedo Talavera Death | Victor Saucedo Talavera Obituary – Victor Saucedo Talavera, 57, is the liquor store employee who died trying to stop a thief by climbing on the hood of the suspect’s vehicle after he walked out of the store with stolen goods. The hit-and-run collision took place at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Magnolia Avenue. Talavera was attempting to stop the thief when he climbed the hood of the sedan and the suspect subsequently drove the car. The driver carried the victim on the hood for about three blocks until they reached the Long Beach intersection and the driver maneuvered to get Talavera off the car.

Reports from JAG says, the employee fell onto the eastbound side of Anaheim Street, where he was subsequently struck by an oncoming utility van, according to detectives reports. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to Talavera. Meanwhile, officers confirmed the thief and the driver of the utility van both fled the scene after the incident. Police are searching for both suspects who fled the crash scene.
