Xavier Hamilton Death | Obituary – 30-year-old Yesmassee man has died in a single-vehicle accident that occurred over the weekend in Jasper County.
Hamilton was pronounced dead, Sunday, July 5. He died at the scene from injuries he sustained in the accident.
According to Jasper County Coroner Martin Sauls, Hamilton was on his way home from work in Okatie when the accident occurred.
The accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. Sunday near Alexander Road, about eight miles north of Ridgeland, Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said.
Hamilton was traveling north on a frontage road between Coosawhatchie and Point South, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Preliminary investigation determined Hamilton was not wearing a seatbelt.
