Carol Tello Death | Carol Tello Obituary – Carol Tello has been reported dead in a tweet made on the 11th of August 2020 by Eversheds Sutherland (@ESgloballaw). She was an invaluable member of Eversheds Sutherland’s Tax Practice Group, her career spanned both government and private practice, helping multinational companies and individuals navigate the complex and rigorous realm of international taxation. Carol Tello’s practice included a broad range of cross-border tax planning and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) controversy matters, including compliance with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). Carol Tello was a caring and kindhearted person who served as a role model for everyone who was privileged to work with her.
According to her Memoriam, in addition to her position at IFA USA, Carol was past Council Director of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Taxation; was a fellow at the American College of Tax Counsel; Vice Chair of ABA’s Continuing Legal Education Committee; and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, among other professional associations.
